Goods: - Half a kilometer away from railway station. - Adjacent to the bus stand. - Adjoining restaurant. - Auto rickshaw and cabs are easily available. - Pickup and drop available at the hotel. - Neat and clean bathroom. Bads: - There is a big lawn between the rooms and the entry gate. This lawn usually hosts marriage or other parties, so there is a high chance of you trespassing other parties to get into your room in the evening hours. - No utility shops nearby. - Room service is pathetic. - ACs are too old and their switch is even older. We found malfunctioning switches of a couple of rooms so had to switch rooms after about an hour of check-in time. - Common toilet is a nightmare.

I was on a solo road trip "Delhi-Agra-Delhi" to spend some time with myself over the independence day - long weekend. It was raining heavy when I reached Agra at around 1pm. Didn't feel like I wanted to be there in that weather. Then I saw a board that said Gwalior with an arrow pointing Leftwards. I had never been to Gwalior, so I took a left turn and reached Gwalior in next 2 hrs or so. I Booked this place over makemytrip and paid just around 1200 bugs for a night. Super cheap for a room as good as this one! Its also available on OYO rooms for the same rate. The rooms here are clean, bathrooms excellent (no complains whatsoever), food good (but can be improved), free breakfast but a lousy service (if the hotel guys are reading this review - pls take a note of this seriously, your service needs tremendous improvement), and the location just right, its very close to the bus stand and railway station. Good for anyone on a business trip or with family. Pls note if u love peaceful places: there is a marriage hall adjacent to the hotel, better to check before hand if there is a marriage party going on.

I stayed here in June while visited for some personal work. Front desk staff was cooperative but room Service is not good. Toiletries and other utilities are not provided on their own. I had to ask many times to get them. The soap places was having hair stick to it so it was surely not unused. Plates present in the room were also not clean. All in all, Not recommended for families.

Hotel is easily accessible..It is near the bus stand..booked through oyo..room was clean and size was good..service needs to be improved..seemed laid back..wifi did not work..open common lawn in front of the room was a plus..food was average..for short stay of 1-2 nights is a decent option..

Thank God I was only here for a night. It was the typical tired, dirty, moldy room so typical of many 'mid' range places in India. There was no hot water and everything was just dingy. The walls were dirty and the rollerblind was 40% damp stained. The manager was so disinterested and unhelpful and kept directing me next door to the Regency Hotel where I wish I'd stayed instead as staff there bent over backwards to help me and I wasn't even a guest there. The only redeeming feature of the Regency Square is the large courtyard in the middle which is regularly used for parties. If you're lucky you could find yourself, as I did, on the dancefloor making some new friends! All in all I'd give Gwalior a miss and head straight for Orchha as it's not really worth a stopover.
